Time to check your moles?
Melanoma Detection and Monitoring System
Australians are endangered by harsh radiation from the sun and have the highest incidence of melanoma in the world.
Melanoma is the most common cancer to occur in men and women aged 15-44 years. New figures from The Cancer Council Victoria show that the number of Victorians affected by melanoma is at the highest level ever.
Latest figures from the Victorian Cancer Registry show that in 2005, melanoma overtook lung cancer and is now the fourth most common cause of cancer in Victorians.
To enable early detection of melanoma, there needs to be regular self-monitoring and consultation including full body examination with a doctor with special interest in skin cancer.
If you are concerned about any moles or spots come in and have them checked by our committed professionals, who use our state of the art Solarscan machine.
The Solarscan machine photographs, analyses and detects minute change in the composition of pigmented moles over three visits.
